For Beginner Yoga 2 classes, it’s best to have 3 mths Iyengar Yoga, or teacher's OK. Poses will be done at a slightly higher level of beginner yoga than in just regular Beginner Yoga classes. For instance, students will learn some additional variations, or hold some poses slightly longer. In addition, depending on who is in the class on the day, the introductory shoulderstand, called "Walking Feet Up Wall", will be taught. Some stronger backbends may be also be done, such as Cross Bolsters. In broader terms, yoga works with key factors like the sequence or order of poses done, the technique/s used, the timing / holdings of the poses, and the extent of repetition of the pose (or variations). Each of these 4 factors may be varied somewhat in Beginner Yoga 2. The class is also designed to assist students to steadily move from Beginner Level towards Non-Beginner level.
